Mfg. process of Poly Aluminum Chloride
1) Process principle:
Hydrochloride acid is pumped into reactors after Bauxite (alumina, aluminum hydroxide) to be formed reacted material,then is pumped into the polymerization reactor. For polymerizing aluminum ions,PH value is adjusted by calcium aluminium powder. Then, the slurry is concentrated according to the aluminum content for obtaining the finished poly aluminum chloride product, which is pumped into the finished product tank for sale.
2) Reaction formula:
Al2O3+6HCl=2AlCl3+3H2O
2Al(OH)3+(6-n)HCl=Al2(OH)nCl6-n+H2O
mAl2(OH)nCl6-n=[Al2(OH)nCl6-n]m
3) Process description:
The bauxite (aluminum oxide, aluminum hydroxide) mixes with a certain amount of water to be slurry in reactor,then reacts with hydrochloride acid meantime adjusts the pH value after reacting completely for polymerizing aluminum ions. Pumps into the filter presser to filter for finished poly-aluminum chloride product, then is pumped into the finished product tank for sale.
