01 What are the ways in which the tower is arranged? What are the specific requirements?
(1) Single-row arrangement, in general, more single-row arrangement is used, when there are two or more towers or vertical containers on one side of the pipe gallery, the general center line is aligned, such as when two or more towers are set up joint platforms, it is appropriate to align the center line or tangential line;
(2) Multi-row arrangement, for the tower with a smaller diameter and a higher body, it can be double-row arrangement or triangular arrangement, so that the platform can be used to connect the tower together to improve its stability. However, guiding nodes that can slide should be used to adapt to the effects of thermal expansion at different operating temperatures.
(3) Frame arrangement, the diameter DN≤1000mm tower can also be arranged in the frame or one side of the frame. Use a frame to improve its stability and set up platforms and ladders. For the segmented tower arranged on the frame, when the mechanical lifting machine cannot be used, the maintenance and lifting facilities should be set up on the frame.
02 What are the requirements for the layout of the tower and its associated equipment?
The tower and its associated equipment, such as feed heater, non-open fire heating reboiler, top of the tower condensation cooler, reflux tank, bottom of the tower pumping pump, should be arranged near the process sequence, if necessary, can form an independent operating system, located in a zone, so as to facilitate operation and management.
03 How to determine the spacing between the tower and the vertical pipe arranged along the pipe gallery?
(1) When the pump is arranged between the tower and the pipe gallery, it should be determined according to the operation, maintenance and piping requirements of the pump;
(2) When the pump is not arranged between the tower and the pipe gallery, the distance between the outer wall of the tower and the center line of the pipe support column should not be less than 3m.
04 How is the distance between towers or between towers and other adjacent equipment determined?
The distance between towers and towers or between towers and other adjacent devices should meet the requirements for the layout and installation of pipelines, platforms, meters, and small devices, as well as the requirements for the layout of operation, maintenance channels, and foundations. The clear distance between the two towers should not be less than 2.5m.
05 What requirements should be met for the installation height of towers and vertical containers?
(1) When using internal pressure or fluid gravity to send material to other equipment or pipelines, it shall be determined by its internal pressure and the pressure and height of the equipment or pipeline being sent to;
(2) When pumping, the installation height of the equipment should be determined by the cavitation allowance of the pump and the pressure drop of the suction pipe;
(3) The installation height of a tower with a non-open flame heating heavy Buddha device should be determined according to the relationship and operating requirements between the tower and the reboiler required by the process;
(4) The minimum clearance required for the installation and operation of the pipeline at the bottom of the tower should be met, and the foundation of the tower should not be less than 200mm above the ground.
